Job Description
Job title: Quality Engineer – Automotive (Plastics) Role Summary: Lead quality planning and control for new automotive plastic parts, ensuring compliance with customer standards and continuous improvement of internal processes. Expectations: - Deliver APQP processes for new projects on schedule. - Achieve zero nonconformities through root‑cause analysis and corrective actions. - Maintain high quality metrics and drive supplier quality improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Manage APQP activities and initial sample dossier preparation & validation. - Resolve quality complaints from customers and suppliers, conducting root‑cause analysis and implementing effective corrective actions. - Facilitate FMEA and risk analyses, track action plans, and ensure implementation. - Conduct internal process audits and promote continuous improvement best practices. - Perform technical site visits to suppliers and customers to assess quality compliance. - Monitor and report quality performance indicators (defect rates, recurring nonconformities, etc.). - Optimize internal quality processes to enhance overall organizational performance. Required Skills: - Proficiency in APQP, FMEA, root‑cause analysis, and statistical quality tools. - Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards and regulatory compliance. - Experience in supplier quality management and technical audits. - Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder facilitation abilities. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related technical field. - Professional certification in quality (e.g., Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) is desirable.
