Job Description
**Job Title:** Intern, Mutual Fund Accounting & Reporting **Role Summary:** Support daily operations, financial reporting, and administrative tasks for mutual funds and separate accounts tied to annuity, retirement, and life insurance products. Gain exposure to financial processes and cross-functional collaboration. **Expectations:** - Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (e.g., finance, accounting, economics). - Foundational accounting/finance coursework preferred. - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare investment schedules, financial reports, and fund expense analyses. - Monitor mutual fund trades, settlements, and valuation testing. - Review trial balances, reconcile accounts, and validate net asset value (NAV) calculations. - Maintain fund records, including share balances and transactional data. - Support fund board reporting, valuation analysis, and ad-hoc projects. - Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements during reporting. **Required Skills:** - Intermediate Microsoft Excel (formulas, data analysis); basic MS Access skills. - Proficiency in learning investment-related software. - Strong verbal/written communication to relay issues to stakeholders. - Detail-oriented with accuracy in financial data management. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in business, finance, accounting, or related field. - No certifications required.
