Job Description
**Job Title** Fire Safety Engineer (F/M) **Role Summary** Provide technical assistance on fire‑safety engineering projects within the nuclear sector. Lead fire‑risk studies, compile regulatory dossiers, produce technical deliverables, and ensure compliance with safety and radioprotection standards. **Expectations** - Deliver study results on schedule and within budget. - Communicate proactively with clients, internal teams, and subcontractors. - Travel regularly to national sites and maintain strict safety compliance. - Hold required security clearances (PR1 CR or CC) and be subject to an administrative background check. **Key Responsibilities** - Conduct and/or supervise fire‑safety analyses following defined methodology. - Prepare regulatory documentation for fire‑safety demonstrations. - Draft technical reports and meeting minutes using appropriate software tools. - Monitor project timelines, flag deviations, and propose corrective actions. - Lead or participate in technical meetings with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. - Report physical progress of deliverables to the line manager. - Perform ongoing technological and regulatory monitoring in fire safety. - Identify technical, cost, or scheduling risks and suggest improvement measures. - Compile lessons‑learned reports (experience feedback sheets). - Ensure on‑site communication with clients and adherence to safety and radioprotection rules. **Required Skills** - Expertise in fire‑safety engineering methodology and nuclear safety regulations. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and risk‑assessment abilities. - Proficient in technical writing and use of engineering software/reporting tools. - Project planning and time‑management competence. - Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills. - Ability to travel frequently and work on multiple sites. - Commitment to strict safety and radioprotection standards. **Required Education & Certifications** - Engineering degree in Nuclear Safety, Fire Safety Engineering, or related field. - Minimum 5 years experience in a similar fire‑safety role within a nuclear environment. - Voluntary firefighter experience regarded as an asset. - Security clearance: PR1 CR or CC (required). - Eligibility for an administrative background investigation.
