**Job Title** Privacy & Cybersecurity Associate **Role Summary** Associate-level attorney transitioning into privacy and cybersecurity practice at a leading law firm. Responsibilities focus on advising clients on privacy compliance, data breach response, cyber risk assessment, and related litigation matters. **Expectations** - 2–7 years of experience at a top-tier law firm. - Demonstrated track record handling privacy and cybersecurity matters. - Licensed to practice in New York or Washington, DC. - JD from a T‑20 law school or within the top 25 % of a T‑50 law school. **Key Responsibilities** - Draft and review privacy policies, data processing agreements, and breach notification letters. - Conduct privacy impact assessments and cyber risk analyses for corporate clients. - Counsel on regulatory compliance with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other privacy statutes. - Assist in managing data breach investigations, regulatory filings, and client communications. - Support litigation and arbitration related to privacy and cybersecurity disputes. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (IT, compliance, risk) to develop security controls. **Required Skills** - In‑depth knowledge of privacy law (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.) and cyber‑security regulations. - Strong drafting, negotiation, and client‑management abilities. - Analytical skills for risk assessment and incident response. - Ability to work independently while collaborating in a high‑volume firm environment. **Required Education & Certifications** - Juris Doctor (JD) from a T‑20 law school or top 25 % of a T‑50 law school. - Admission to the bar in New York or Washington, DC.
