Job Title: Sr ServiceNow Developer / Admin
Role Summary: Lead developer and administrator for a ServiceNow platform in a 2,000‑person organization. 70‑80% hands‑on development and configuration, 20‑30% solution design, business analysis, and platform governance. Responsible for stabilizing, optimizing, and expanding the ITSM and HRSD environment while collaborating with IT leadership on strategy and roadmap.
Expectations: Deliver high‑quality custom applications, workflows, and integrations; maintain platform performance and security; act as the primary subject‑matter expert; demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills; independently manage competing priorities; support future growth of the ServiceNow capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and configure ServiceNow applications, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, script includes, and server‑side scripts.
- Build Flow Designer automations, Integration Hub connections, and custom applications.
- Configure UI elements (forms, lists, actions) and enhance user experience.
- Test, debug, and ensure quality of all development work.
- Create reports, dashboards, Performance Analytics, and visualizations.
- Integrate with HR systems, Active Directory, and other enterprise tools via REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, and MID Server.
- Gather and analyze business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and document designs and specifications.
- Manage platform administration: user roles, security, upgrades, health monitoring, and documentation.
- Partner with IT leadership to develop roadmap, recommend enhancements, establish development standards, and assess technical feasibility.
Required Skills:
- 5‑7 years hands‑on ServiceNow development and configuration.
- Proven experience with ITSM modules (Request, Incident, CMDB, Change, Asset, Knowledge).
- Full lifecycle ServiceNow implementations and post‑implementation optimization.
- Proficient in JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting (business rules, script includes, client scripts).
- Expertise in Flow Designer, Workflow, Automation tools, and platform architecture.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes.
- Experience with HRSD best practices (desirable).
- Integration experience (REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, MID Server).
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, analytical thinking, and collaboration.
- Self‑motivated, independent, adaptable, and capable of managing competing priorities.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Certified ServiceNow System Administrator.
- US citizenship required.
