Job title: Senior Full Stack Engineer, Fintech
Role Summary:
Architect, develop, and guide the delivery of secure, compliant fintech applications for diverse clients, providing technical leadership and best‑practice mentorship across payment, lending, trading, and compliance domains.
Expectations:
- Minimum 6 years professional full‑stack development experience.
- Proven expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Next.js; experience with Python or Go is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated history of building and scaling fintech products that handle payments, lending, trading, or expense management.
- Deep knowledge of distributed system principles, secure architecture for financial data, and regulatory requirements (KYC, AML, compliance).
- Strong client‑facing skills with experience in consulting or contracting and managing complex project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Embed with client engineering teams to advise on product architecture and technical strategy for fintech solutions.
- Design, implement, and maintain full‑stack applications that prioritize security, regulatory compliance, and transaction integrity.
- Integrate payment processors, banking APIs, and compliance services, ensuring secure and resilient connections to financial infrastructure.
- Mentor and coach client teams on secure coding, compliance‑first design, and scalable system reliability.
- Lead technical discussions with founders, translating business needs into concrete engineering solutions while managing regulatory constraints.
- Stay current with evolving fintech regulations, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve product offerings.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, Next.js; Python or Go experience a plus.
- Strong grasp of object‑oriented programming and clean architecture for maintainable, scalable systems.
- Experience building fintech products: payment processors, lending platforms, trading engines, or expense management tools.
- Proficiency with distributed systems concepts—consistency models, fault tolerance, eventual consistency.
- Ability to architect secure systems handling sensitive financial data, with knowledge of encryption, key management, and access controls.
- Deep understanding of KYC, AML, regulatory compliance, and financial regulations.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deploying secure, scalable infrastructure.
- Proven client‑management and consulting experience, capable of guiding founders and teams through complex technical challenges.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant security or compliance certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, ISO 27001) are preferred but not mandatory.
