Job title: Manager, Procurement Operations
Role Summary:
Lead the centralized procurement operations function, acting as business process owner for global Source‑to‑Pay activities. Drive process improvements, ensure compliance, and manage a cross‑functional team to deliver efficient, compliant procurement services across the organization.
Expectations:
- Own end‑to‑end operational procurement processes, from spot buys to contract administration.
- Champion transformational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across business units.
- Deliver measurable performance improvements in cost, cycle time, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement systems, policies, and procedures aligned with corporate strategy.
- Direct spot buy governance, RFx lifecycle, indirect PO issuance, supplier master data, and invoice resolution.
- Lead and mentor a team (≥2 people), providing coaching, career development, and conflict resolution.
- Manage PO request lifecycle, ensuring accurate and timely issuance to vendors.
- Design and enforce supplier onboarding, qualification, and evaluation processes.
- Collaborate with Category Management to develop and renew corporate contracts and e‑catalogs.
- Educate internal stakeholders on procurement operations policies, systems, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements within procurement operations.
- Analyze process performance data to identify efficiency opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills:
- Strong project management and operational planning abilities.
- Proven experience managing cross‑functional procurement teams in a global, decentralized environment.
- Deep knowledge of Source‑to‑Pay processes, including spot buying, RFx, contracts, and indirect procurement.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple business functions.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and change‑management skills.
- High attention to detail and capability to manage multiple critical‑path projects concurrently.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or related field (minimum 8 years procurement experience) **or**
- Master’s degree in a related field (minimum 6 years procurement experience).
- Minimum 2 years people‑management experience.
- Relevant procurement certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPM, CIPS, or equivalent) are preferred.
