Job Description
**Job title** Data Analyst **Role Summary** Build and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports that inform finance, operations, and commercial teams across a global property‑management service. Deliver accurate, actionable insights through SQL, BI tools, and cloud data pipelines to support strategic decision‑making and revenue optimization. **Expectations** - Own the integrity and accessibility of the core data model. - Produce high‑quality Looker dashboards and ad‑hoc analytics. - Collaborate with leadership and cross‑functional teams to translate data into business insights. - Continuously improve data quality, performance, and documentation. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, develop, and maintain Looker dashboards for Finance, Operations, and Commercial units. - Write and optimise complex SQL queries in BigQuery to transform raw data into production‑ready models. - Manage and support the modern data stack: Fivetran, BigQuery, Looker, dbt, and Python scripts. - Analyse large datasets (property performance, occupancy, revenue, RevPAR) and conduct ad‑hoc analysis (A/B tests, churn, etc.). - Train business users on Looker and data interpretation. - Partner with Pricing Analysts to monitor market trends and inform pricing strategies. - Document metric definitions, data lineage, and maintain clean, consistent datasets. - Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and improve BI performance. **Required Skills** - Advanced SQL (BigQuery) writing and optimisation. - Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Looker. - Experience with cloud‑based data pipelines (Fivetran, dbt, or similar). - Python for data wrangling and ad‑hoc analysis. - Strong attention to detail and data accuracy. - Excellent communication and ability to explain complex data to non‑technical stakeholders. - Proactive, self‑motivated, and eager to learn in a fast‑moving environment. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, or related field. (Equivalents with substantial experience accepted.) - No mandatory certifications, but familiarity with GCP/Data Studio/Looker certifications is advantageous.
