Job title: Application Programmer Analyst Intern Role Summary: Intern responsible for analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and maintaining end‑user applications, primarily using Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, and related frameworks. Supports both internally developed and commercial‑off‑the‑shelf systems, collaborates with business stakeholders and IT teams, and participates in the full application lifecycle. Expactations: Work 15‑38.5 hours weekly, maintain regular office attendance, attend on‑call rotations, meet project deadlines, demonstrate initiative, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and uphold security and corporate technology standards. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze business, functional, and technical requirements for application development. - Design, code, modify, test, and document applications in Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, and related frameworks. - Participate in architectural design, creating conceptual, logical, and physical models and documentation. - Estimate project timelines, contribute to project planning, and manage deliverables. - Resolve incidents, document root causes, and recommend improvements. - Perform thorough testing following standard guidelines; conduct production reviews. - Produce administrative reports and ensure compliance with reporting requirements. - Provide exceptional customer service to IT users; anticipate and meet user needs. - Build and maintain cross‑departmental relationships to enhance business connectivity. - Adhere to security protocols and corporate technology guidelines. Required Skills: - Proficiency in core Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL; experience with JEE, Spring, or similar frameworks. - Fundamental knowledge of systems analysis and design. - Ability to write clear documentation and test plans. - Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills. - Analytical reasoning, concentration, and ability to meet deadlines under pressure. - Self‑motivation, initiative, and proactive problem‑solving. Required Education & Certifications: - Current enrollment in a college or university program; Bachelor's degree in progress or completed (Computer Science preferred). - Coursework or entry‑level experience in systems analysis, design, core Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL. - Experience with JEE, Spring or comparable frameworks is preferred. - No mandatory certifications required, though relevant coursework or certifications in programming or systems design may be advantageous.
