**Job Title:** Account Director
**Role Summary:**
Drive strategic client relationships at the VP- and C‑level, ensuring profitable outcomes for a portfolio of accounts. Oversee account teams, provide strategic counsel to the agency’s strategy group, and maintain high‑quality deliverables aligned with client objectives and agency standards.
**Expectations:**
- Manage profitability and health of assigned client relationships.
- Deliver strategic insights, ensuring alignment between client goals and agency capabilities.
- Mentor and lead account managers and project teams.
- Participate in agency business planning, KPI ownership, and performance reviews.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and execute annual account plans, identifying growth and retention strategies.
- Maintain day‑to‑day oversight of project scope, quality, profitability, and timelines.
- Provide strategic counsel to the strategy team and champion client objectives internally.
- Recruit, interview, onboard, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for account staff.
- Own team KPIs, facilitate training, give real‑time feedback, and promote a collaborative culture.
- Manage compensation discussions (salary, raises, bonuses) and time‑off approvals.
- Conduct off‑boarding procedures and exit interviews.
- Represent agency capabilities to clients and liaise with senior management, creative, and finance teams.
- Promote agency work through internal and external channels, encouraging team participation.
**Required Skills:**
- Advanced client relationship management (VP/CEO level).
- Strategic planning and account development.
- Leadership, coaching, and performance management.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution.
- Project delivery oversight (quality, scope, timeline, profitability).

- Agency service expertise across strategy, media, and creative.

- Familiarity with project management and HR tools (e.g., Timetastic).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
- MBA or advanced business qualification preferred.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Certified Account Manager, PACM) welcome.
