Job title: Software Engineer Role Summary: Lead and develop robust JVM-based systems for a global banking platform, overseeing daily operations, long‑term strategy, and compliance, while driving automation to reduce toil. Expactations: - Must start W2 immediately; no sponsorship required. - Contract-to-hire; on‑site. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain high‑quality, scalable Java/Kotlin/Scala code. - Lead platform operations, manage day‑to‑day requests, and shape team strategy. - Automate processes to eliminate manual toil and reduce SDLC waste. - Ensure compliance with security, audit, and securities lending policies. - Maintain system stability during enhancement and maintenance cycles. Required Skills: - 6+ years of software engineering with 5+ years hands‑on in Java/Kotlin; strong Scala experience. - Proven expertise in building multithreaded JVM applications at large scale. - Design and develop distributed systems, including containerized deployments on Kubernetes. - Performance tuning of JVM applications. - Experience with document‑store databases (MongoDB). - CI/CD pipeline implementation and DevOps practices. - Leadership and team‑management capabilities.
