Job Description
Job title: Internship - Traffic Engineer Role Summary: 12‑week, full‑time paid internship supporting traffic studies, design, and analysis for client projects within a civil engineering context. Expactations: Meet academic standing (≥ 3.0 GPA), work Monday‑through‑Friday, participate in field and design work, produce accurate technical reports, adhere to safety protocols, and lift up to 30 lb. Key Responsibilities: • Assist traffic studies and data collection. • Analyze traffic flow and patterns using specialized software. • Support design and implementation of traffic control devices (signals, signs, pavement markings). • Conduct field observations and surveys. • Prepare technical reports and documentation. • Collaborate on traffic impact assessments for new developments. • Help develop solutions for congestion and safety issues. • Create traffic‑related drawings and plans in AutoCAD and related design tools. Required Skills: • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D or equivalent. • Strong MS Office skills. • Ability to collect and analyze traffic data. • Field observation and survey techniques. • Report writing and documentation. • Team collaboration and communication. • Capacity to lift up to 30 lb.
