Job title: Supply Chain Director
Role Summary: Own and optimise the national supply chain for a fast‑moving agricultural business, driving cost efficiency, process excellence, and strong supplier partnerships while ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.
Expectations: Deliver measurable cost reductions across logistics, procurement, and inventory; maintain high levels of supply security; forge and preserve supplier relationships; implement continuous improvement initiatives; lead a high‑performance team and collaborate cross‑functionally to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and monitor cost‑reduction strategies for logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
- Analyse supply‑chain performance data, identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Negotiate commercial terms, secure favorable pricing, and develop long‑term contracts for MRO, ingredients, and packaging.
- Lead strategic planning and optimisation of end‑to‑end supply‑chain processes, aligning them with corporate goals.
- Manage and mentor the supply‑chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technological adoption.
- Collaborate with operations, product development, and sales to support launches, trials, and new customer integration.
- Maintain compliance with SQF, HACCP, and other relevant food safety and regulatory standards; develop risk mitigation plans.
- Oversee the ERP system and other supply‑chain software, ensuring accurate data capture, reporting, and visibility.
Required Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of supply‑chain analytics, cost modelling, and KPI monitoring.
- Expertise in procurement strategy, supplier negotiations, and supplier performance management.
- Proficient with ERP platforms and data‑analytics tools.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and change‑management abilities.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder‑management, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Detail‑oriented forecasting and inventory control capabilities.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply‑Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive supply‑chain leadership experience in a manufacturing or fresh‑food environment.
- Proven experience in planning, procurement, warehouse, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of food‑safety compliance systems (e.g., SQF, HACCP) and related regulatory frameworks.
