Agile Coach/Scrum Master - Outside IR35 - UK Based

Job Description

Job title: Agile Coach/Scrum Master Role Summary: Lead the design, implementation, and embedding of a tailored Agile delivery framework across technology and business teams, primarily within an Enterprise App/ERP environment. Act as a hands‑on Scrum Master, coaching staff, facilitating ceremonies, and driving continuous improvement in a 6‑month contract. Expactations: - Deliver a documented Agile framework or playbook aligned to the organisation’s structure and objectives. - Establish backlog structures, sprint cadences, and Agile practices for at least one core squad. - Facilitate all core Agile ceremonies and ensure consistent cadence. - Provide training and coaching to Product Owners, Delivery Leads, and stakeholders. - Produce a final summary report outlining achievements, recommendations, and next steps. Key Responsibilities: - Assess existing delivery methods, processes, and maturity across teams. - Develop a tailored Agile playbook applicable to technology and business functions. - Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and demos. - Support backlog creation, prioritisation, and refinement, driving business‑led prioritisation. - Identify, manage, and resolve impediments to maintain delivery momentum. - Coach Product Owners, Delivery Leads, and stakeholders on Agile roles and best practices. - Recommend and support the adoption of appropriate tools and practices. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and iterative delivery. Required Skills: - Proven experience as an Agile Coach or Scrum Master with a focus on digital transformation. - Strong facilitation and coaching skills for cross‑functional teams. - In‑depth knowledge of Agile ceremonies, backlog management, and sprint cadence. - Experience designing and implementing Agile frameworks/playbooks. - Familiarity with Enterprise App/ERP delivery environments is a plus. - Ability to identify and remove impediments and drive continuous improvement. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) required; PMP or SAFe Agile Coach credentials strongly preferred.
