Job Title: Positive Support Analyst
Role Summary
Provide person-centered clinical support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential, vocational, or home settings. Perform behavioral assessments, develop and implement behavior support plans, and assist with daily living and health activities while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
Expectations
- Maintain at least a 2‑year record of related experience.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field.
- Complete and maintain all state‑required training and certifications within mandated timelines.
- Possess a valid driver’s license; car registration and insurance if transportation duty required.
- Demonstrate reliable, responsible, and compassionate demeanor; uphold the organization’s mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structured assessment interviews and observational assessments with clients, families, and caregivers.
- Review social history, perform functional assessments, and establish behavior baselines.
- Draft and submit assessment summaries and behavior support plan recommendations to interdisciplinary team or operations leader.
- Present behavior support information to review committees and advocate for client rights.
- Document progress, activity, billing, and records in a timely and accurate manner while preserving confidentiality.
- Report alleged abuse, neglect, and medical or behavioral incidents per policy and external regulations.
- Support and train staff on implementation of Individual Support Plans; lead classes and orientations as assigned.
- Assist with personal care, housekeeping, transportation, community orientation, shopping, financial management, citizenship, and other activities of daily living.
- Transport clients safely; adhere to safety policies, report accidents, and participate in safety drills.
- Monitor client health, document concerns, and communicate with nursing or supervisory staff.
- Administer and document medication/treatment if assigned; maintain controlled medication security and report errors.
Required Skills
- Behavioral assessment and intervention skills, including behavior modification techniques.
- Knowledge of populations with developmental disabilities, brain injury, or mental health issues.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Documentation proficiency, billing knowledge, and data management.
- Ability to travel to clients’ homes and navigate community settings.
- Conflict resolution and advocacy capabilities.
- Adherence to safety, confidentiality, and regulatory standards.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical or support experience.
- Training in behavior modification techniques and/or behavior management treatment as required by state or program funder.
- Completion of all state‑mandated training and certifications within required timelines.
