Job Description

**Job Title:** Software Engineer III **Role Summary:** Lead mission-critical satellite communication system development, deployment, and enhancement through advanced C++ software engineering, algorithm design, and automated testing. **Expectations:** 20+ years of software engineering experience in programs of similar scope and complexity (or 24+ years with bachelors-level substitution). **Key Responsibilities:** - Analyze requirements and design software for satellite communication systems. - Develop and optimize high-performance C++ applications and modify existing systems. - Debug and resolve defects in complex software with rigorous troubleshooting. - Design database/interfaces for data management. - Implement algorithms with strict timing/resource constraints and integrate automated testing. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software with project goals and deadlines. - Create documentation for designs, processes, and interfaces. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in C++ development for real-time systems and performance optimization. - Experience in RF signal analysis, satellite communication systems, or equivalent theoretical knowledge. - Familiarity with DevOps processes in VMware and Docker/Kubernetes environments. - Knowledge of message queue protocols and communication systems. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork capabilities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or 24+ years of software engineering experience as an alternative to a degree).
