Job Description

**Job Title** Senior Software Engineer - Payments **Role Summary** Design and implement high-throughput payment systems for global transactions. Develop scalable infrastructure for payment orchestration, merchant APIs, and real-time settlements, directly impacting cross-border money movement. **Expectations** Own end-to-end product features, drive technical decisions, mentor teams, and shape engineering culture. Solve complex challenges in fintech payments, digital assets, and distributed systems. **Key Responsibilities** - Build payment processing systems for high-volume transaction environments. - Develop APIs, SDKs, and fraud detection features using real-time data. - Architect scalable, observable systems with optimized database performance and caching strategies. - Deliver production-ready solutions from design to deployment. - Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define system requirements and technical direction. **Required Skills** - 5+ years software engineering experience. - Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js; React experience preferred. - Expertise in REST API design, relational/document databases (MongoDB experience required). - Experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), and containerized deployments. - Demonstrated ability to design and maintain systems with strict correctness requirements or high transaction volumes. - Strong communication skills for technical and cross-functional collaboration. **Required Education & Certifications** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
