Job Description
**Job Title** Assistant General Manager **Role Summary** Support the General Manager in overseeing all facets of a high‑volume restaurant, including front‑of‑house operations, bar, retail, live events and guest experience. Lead a diverse team, drive financial performance, and ensure brand standards are met or exceeded. **Expactations** - Deliver consistent operational excellence and guest satisfaction. - Meet or exceed key financial targets (sales, cost, labor). - Mentor and develop mid‑level managers and front‑line staff. - Champion and implement local and corporate initiatives. **Key Responsibilities** - Interpret and act on financial data to achieve performance metrics. - Partner with Sales to execute the restaurant’s marketing plan and grow entrée count YoY. - Coach junior managers on business objectives and performance reviews. - Collaborate with the GM to set clear operational direction and communicate it across departments. - Ensure all systems and processes are executed to brand standards. - Build and maintain a high‑performing team aligned with the cafe’s vision and values. - Drive change management and roll out local and company initiatives. - Foster a customer‑first culture; handle guest feedback, including social media. - Support staffing objectives: recruitment, retention, and career progression. - Design and deliver learning and development programs for all staff levels. **Required Skills** - Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, verified by references. - Strong verbal and written communication; ability to present to diverse audiences. - Excellent problem‑solving and consultative thinking. - Cross‑functional collaboration and teamwork. - Mentoring and coaching experience. - Proficiency in English (multilingual a plus). - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field (or documented entrepreneurial hospitality leadership). - Valid UK work permit required. ---
