Job Description: **Job Title:** Embedded Linux Yocto Engineer (M/F) **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and support a Yocto‑based Linux distribution for embedded systems. Lead the evolution of Yocto meta‑layers and platform features, targeting rapid application deployment with high reliability, robustness, and security. Work on hardware certification, secure boot, and system hardening. **Expectations:** - Deliver a secure, production‑ready Yocto distribution. - Lead feature development on reference platforms and guide hardware certification processes. - Maintain high code quality and security standards; track and remediate CVEs. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement Yocto recipes, meta‑layers, and configuration for embedded products. - Configure partitions/filesystems with encryption and digital signing. - Create secure storage zones and secret‑management solutions. - Implement Secure Boot and kernel hardening (firewalls, I/O restrictions). - Extend and improve continuous integration pipelines. - Monitor, analyze, and remediates CVE vulnerabilities. - Collaborate with development, QA, and certification teams. **Required Skills:** - 8+ years of embedded Linux development (Yocto environment). - Strong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded applications. - Deep knowledge of Linux kernel development and ARM middleware. - Experience with secure boot, encryption, signature mechanisms, and system hardening. - Proven CI/CD expertise (GitLab, automated tests, builds). - Ability to track and address CVE vulnerabilities. - Proficient in English (reading, writing, communication). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. - (Optional) Yocto Project certification or equivalent Linux/embedded certifications.
