Job Description
**Job Title:** DevSecOps Platform Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, implement, and manage secure cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments. Automate resource provisioning using IaC tools, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with embedded security controls, and deploy microservices within Kubernetes clusters. Drive continuous monitoring, logging, and incident response, ensuring compliance with NIST 800‑171 and other security standards. Foster a DevSecOps culture through documentation, training, and cross‑functional collaboration. **Expectations:** - Minimum 5 years of DevOps, Security, or Infrastructure Engineering experience. - U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a DOD Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred). - Proven track record of secure cloud architecture, IaC, CI/CD, and container orchestration. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Architect and maintain secure cloud solutions (AWS, Azure). 2. Automate cloud resource roll‑out using Terraform, Ansible, and related IaC tools. 3. Design, implement, and secure CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD). 4. Manage microservice deployment on Kubernetes (EKS, AKS) and helm charts. 5. Configure and enhance logging, monitoring, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK). 6. Ensure compliance with NIST 800‑171 and other industry security frameworks. 7. Conduct vulnerability assessments, security monitoring, and incident response automation. 8. Collaborate with developers to enforce secure coding practices and application security testing. 9. Optimize cloud costs, security posture, and performance in partnership with cross‑functional teams. 10. Produce technical documentation, SOPs, and training materials to promote DevSecOps practices. **Required Skills:** - Cloud security best practices (AWS/Azure). - Continuous integration/deployment principles and tools. - IaC: Terraform, Ansible. - Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm. - Linux system administration. - Scripting: Python, Bash. - Git‑based workflows and pipelines. - Security tools: SAST, DAST, SIEM, IDS/IPS. - Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, etc.). - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and detail orientation. - Excellent written and verbal communication. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - U.S. citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret security clearance. - No mandatory certifications (certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP, AWS/Azure Security are desirable but not required).
