Job Description

**Job Title:** Full Stack Java Developer **Role Summary:** Contract position with a leading banking client, hybrid work model (NYC/NJ). Requires 8+ years of professional experience delivering end‑to‑end Java‑based web applications, strong database expertise, and ability to collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams and global delivery environments. **Expectations:** - Local candidate (NYC/NJ) able to attend in‑person interview and work onsite as required. - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders. - Proven track record in delivering high‑quality software in a regulated, investment‑banking context (preferred). **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack Java applications using Core Java, Angular, HTML/CSS, and TypeScript. - Implement integration solutions using MQ, XML, and JSON. - Manage data persistence across SQL Server, MongoDB, and Snowflake environments. - Write and execute unit and integration tests; ensure code quality through CI/CD pipelines (Gradle/Maven, Jenkins, Git). - Apply enterprise architecture patterns, OOA/OOD principles, and object‑oriented best practices. - Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and daily stand‑ups. - Collaborate with global delivery teams and support stakeholder requirements. **Required Skills:** - Core Java (J2SE/J2EE) development - Front‑end: Angular, HTML, CSS, TypeScript - Integration: IBM MQ, XML, JSON - Databases: SQL Server, MongoDB, Snowflake - Build & Release: Gradle or Maven, Jenkins, Git - Testing: Unit and integration testing frameworks - Agile/Scrum methodology experience - Strong communication and stakeholder management **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Java SE, Scrum Master) are a plus but not mandatory.
