Job Title: Front‑End Developer
Role Summary
Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high‑quality, client‑centric websites for a computer hardware/software retailer. Works exclusively on‑site, delivering solutions within tight deadlines while ensuring optimal performance, security, and user experience.
Expectations
- 5+ years of front‑end development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency considered a strong asset
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment with high pressure and strict timelines
Key Responsibilities
1. Consult with clients to capture and document website requirements.
2. Source, organize, and structure content, then design layout, appearance, and navigation flow.
3. Create and optimize website content using graphics, animation, databases, and other media tools.
4. Evaluate and integrate interactive media software products to enhance functionality.
5. Perform rigorous testing, security checks, and quality control to meet industry standards.
6. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (design, backend, QA) to ensure cohesive delivery.
Required Skills
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery
- Strong knowledge of web service design, responsive design, and cross‑browser compatibility
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop for asset creation
- Familiarity with Java, JavaOS, MySQL, and Git version control
- Ability to manage website creation/management platforms and content management systems
- Excellent oral and written communication, client focus, dependability, and teamwork
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
- No specific certifications required, but knowledge of web standards (W3C), security best practices, and accessibility guidelines is preferred.
