Job Description

Job Title: Backend Engineer – GoLang, Java Role Summary: Engineer scalable backend services for a fintech remittance platform, focusing on integrating new payout partners and expanding destination/currency support. Expactations: - Demonstrate strong proficiency in Go or Java programming. - Deliver robust, testable, and high‑performance backend systems. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and evolve APIs. - Apply Domain‑Driven Design principles in service architecture. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices in Go or Java. - Build and secure RESTful APIs for remittance operations. - Integrate new payout partners, adding destinations and currencies. - Implement automated testing (unit, integration, end‑to‑end). - Deploy and operate services on scalable cloud infrastructure. - Work with PostgreSQL databases and Kafka message streams. - Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and incident response. Required Skills: - Proficiency in Go or Java (experience with both preferred). - Hands‑on experience building scalable backend systems. - Strong knowledge of REST API design and best practices. - Familiarity with PostgreSQL database design and optimization. - Experience with Kafka or similar message brokers. - Understanding of Domain‑Driven Design concepts. - Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code. - Good communication and collaboration skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. No mandatory certifications required, though knowledge of relevant fintech or banking domains is advantageous.
