Job Description
**Job Title:** Network Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, build, operate, and continuously improve enterprise network infrastructure (physical and virtual) for a large organization. Provide technical leadership, ensure resilience, security, scalability, and alignment with business and digital strategy. Serve as subject‑matter expert for network solutions and collaborate with internal teams and external service providers. **Expectations:** - Deliver end‑to‑end network designs that meet business requirements and regulatory standards. - Lead documentation, quality assurance, and risk mitigation for network changes. - Participate in on‑call rotation and regional travel as required. - Obtain or maintain required security clearance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, support, and maintain enterprise network components (routers, switches, firewalls, SD‑WAN, VLANs, Azure vWAN, etc.). - Produce technical design documents, service artefacts, and compliance reports. - Ensure adherence to industry standards, security policies, and ITSM/ISO 20000 processes. - Conduct impact analysis, identify risks, and define mitigation strategies. - Manage relationships with managed service providers and suppliers. - Drive continuous improvement and innovation in network architecture. - Provide quality assurance for network service changes. **Required Skills:** - Hands‑on expertise with Cisco networking, Azure, AWS, Zscaler, SolarWinds, Microsoft Sentinel, and Avaya telephony. - Deep knowledge of SD‑WAN, VLANs, Azure vWAN, and routing protocols. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder communication abilities. - Ability to work independently on complex technical issues and influence technical change. - Commercial awareness focused on service quality and cost efficiency. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or similar preferred. - Security clearance (or eligibility to obtain).
