Job Description: Job Title: DevOps Engineer Role Summary Architect, implement, and secure cloud infrastructure on GCP, building CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and security controls to support high‑performance APIs and services. Expectations - Deliver reliable, scalable, and secure cloud environments. - Automate deployment and security processes. - Maintain operational visibility and respond to vulnerabilities. - Drive continuous improvement of infrastructure and DevOps practices in a fast‑growing setting. Key Responsibilities - Design, provision, and manage secure GCP infrastructure using IaC with Terraform/Terragrunt. - Build and maintain end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines (e.g., ArgoCD, Bitbucket Pipelines) with secret management and configuration automation. - Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting (Grafana, Datadog) to ensure system health. - Review automated security scans and code audits to mitigate cyber threats. - Collaborate with engineering teams to define, document, and promote best practices for infrastructure, security, and deployment. - Scale and optimize Kubernetes (k8s) clusters and related tooling. - Enable and maintain service mesh (Istio or equivalent) for traffic management and observability. - Document processes and enable self‑service for a growing organization. Required Skills - 4+ years of cloud infrastructure or DevOps experience. - Hands‑on with GCP or AWS and cloud security controls. - Expertise in Terraform, Terragrunt, and IaC workflows. - Proficient in CI/CD tooling (ArgoCD, Bitbucket Pipelines, etc.). - Strong Kubernetes and containerization knowledge. - Experience with observability tools (Grafana, Datadog). - Scripting proficiency in Python or equivalent. - Ability to create and document engineering processes from scratch. - Autonomous, self‑driven mindset; thrives in a startup pace. - Experience with Istio or equivalent service mesh is a plus. - Familiarity with monorepo codebases is a plus. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred). - Professional cloud certifications (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Terraform Associate) are desirable.
