Job Description

**Job Title:** Contract SIP/VOIP Developer **Role Summary:** Short‑term (6 months) developer responsible for designing, building, and integrating SIP/VOIP solutions using Node.js and REST APIs. Ensures seamless interoperability with FreeSWITCH, Asterisk, SBCs, and CPaaS platforms while maintaining robust, scalable server and client architectures. **Expectations:** * Deliver production‑ready code within agreed milestones. * Collaborate with infrastructure and QA teams to ensure high availability and performance. * Provide clear documentation and support for ongoing maintenance. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design and implement RESTful APIs for telephony services. * Develop event‑driven Node.js components that interface with SIP stacks. * Integrate and test SIP telephony with FreeSWITCH, Asterisk, SBCs, and CPaaS solutions. * Configure and administer CentOS Linux servers, including network and security settings. * Manage relational databases (RDBMS) for call data and configuration. * Deploy and maintain services on AWS cloud infrastructure. * Work with Open Development Platform (ODP) tools and workflows. * Troubleshoot, optimize, and document SIP/VOIP performance and interoperability issues. **Required Skills:** * Proficient in Node.js and event‑based programming. * Strong knowledge of SIP/VOIP protocols and SIP telephony. * REST API design and implementation. * IP networking fundamentals and client/server architecture. * Experience with FreeSWITCH, Asterisk, or similar PBX/SBC platforms. * Familiarity with CPaaS solutions. * RDBMS expertise (SQL). * Cloud proficiency, especially AWS services. * Linux administration (CentOS). * Basic web development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript). * Working knowledge of Open Development Platform (ODP). **Required Education & Certifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. * Certifications (optional but preferred): AWS Certified Developer, Cisco CCNA, or SIP/VoIP‑specific certifications.
