Job title: Application Support Engineer – Permanent (F/M)
Role Summary: Provide level 2/3 support for mission‑critical applications, ensuring uptime, performance, and continuous improvement in a multi‑cloud, heterogeneous environment.
Expactations: Deliver timely incident resolution, maintain documentation, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and proactively enhance support processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor application availability and performance across Linux/Windows servers, middleware (Tomcat, WebLogic, IIS, Apache, Nginx).
- Manage incident lifecycle (N2/N3) using ITSM tools (ServiceNow, GLPI, Jira).
- Diagnose, analyze, and correct application faults; execute root‑cause investigations.
- Coordinate deployments and releases, including database (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and configuration changes.
- Produce and maintain technical and functional documentation.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, automation, and knowledge transfer to end users.
- Support modern architectures (microservices, containers, APIs) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of enterprise application support experience.
- Proficiency in Linux/Windows administration, middleware, and web servers.
- Cloud & virtualization knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware, Hyper‑V).
- Monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Datadog, Centreon).
- Database administration (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Scripting: Shell, Bash, PowerShell, Python, SQL, PL/SQL.
- ITSM platform usage (ServiceNow, GLPI, Jira), and CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Ansible).
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS/Azure, ServiceNow, ITIL) preferred.
