Job Description
**Job Title** SFMC Solutions Architect (Contract) **Role Summary** Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions for enterprise clients. Serve as the technical‑strategic liaison between business objectives and complex SFMC architectures, delivering scalable, compliant, and high‑impact marketing automation across multi‑channel journeys. **Expectations** - Architect end‑to‑end SFMC deployments that support customer experience, ROI, and regulatory compliance. - Engage senior client stakeholders to translate business and data requirements into modular, reusable architecture. - Advocate platform adoption, training, and change management to maximize value. - Mentor client teams and internal consultants on advanced SFMC capabilities and best practices. - Keep abreast of MarTech trends, AI/ML developments, and Salesforce innovations to propose forward‑looking improvements. **Key Responsibilities** - Collaborate with marketing, CRM, and IT leaders to assess current marketing operations; identify optimization opportunities. - Lead workshops and discovery sessions; define project scope, data architecture, and automation goals. - Translate requirements into scalable, modular SFMC solutions aligned with CX and ROI targets. - Design and manage comprehensive implementations: Journey Builder, Email Studio, Contact Builder, Automation Studio, Mobile Studio, Advertising Studio. - Integrate SFMC with Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud, CDPs, Data Cloud, and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs. - Ensure platform architecture supports high availability, security, and compliance (CASL, GDPR, etc.). - Drive platform adoption through roadmaps, training, and change‑management advisory. - Proactively recommend innovations and process enhancements based on industry best practices and client needs. - Mentor client and internal teams on SFMC features, optimization, and scalable designs. **Required Skills** - 8+ years in technology consulting; 5+ years hands‑on SFMC implementation. - Deep knowledge of Journey Builder, Email Studio, Contact Builder, Automation Studio. - Strong proficiency in AMPscript, SSJS, API integrations, data extensions. - Demonstrated ability to design multi‑channel journeys and personalized experiences. - Experience integrating SFMC with Salesforce CRM and third‑party platforms. - Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to engage senior stakeholders. - Ability to design architecture that satisfies security, privacy, and compliance requirements. **Required Education & Certifications** - Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant Certification - Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred) - Optional/Preferred: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Specialist, Salesforce Administrator certifications; familiarity with Einstein for Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and AI/ML segmentation.
