Job Description

**Job Title:** Software Engineering Summer Internship **Role Summary:** Join a development team to design, implement, and refine machine‑learning models for image analysis and enhancement. Responsibilities include data preprocessing, training deep learning architectures (CNNs, GANs), performance evaluation, and integration of AI solutions into production workflows. **Expectations:** Produce functional code that meets performance metrics, document work clearly, collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams, and adhere to coding, testing, and version‑control standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Preprocess and augment image datasets for model training. - Implement and fine‑tune deep learning models (CNNs, GANs) for object detection, segmentation, and image quality improvement. - Apply computer‑vision techniques for feature extraction and pattern recognition. - Evaluate model performance using metrics such as accuracy, precision, and recall; iterate improvements. - Collaborate with engineering to integrate AI‑driven solutions into production pipelines. - Gather user and software requirements via interviews, surveys, and usability testing. - Analyze user feedback to inform design decisions. - Participate in design reviews and contribute to iterative design improvements. - Maintain design systems, style guides, and accessibility standards. **Required Skills:** - Python programming (OpenCV, NumPy, Pandas). - Familiarity with TensorFlow or PyTorch deep‑learning libraries. - Knowledge of image‑processing fundamentals (filtering, transformations, color spaces). - Understanding of supervised learning, CNNs, and GANs. - Basic linear algebra and probability applied to computer vision. - Experience with Git version control. - Strong written and verbal communication abilities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Currently enrolled as a rising junior or senior (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Data Science, or a closely related field. - Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or ongoing pursuit thereof; a Master's degree is preferred. ---
