Job Title: Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer Role Summary: Conducts comprehensive testing of software applications, focusing on manual testing and API validation, to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance with specifications. Works on-site and collaborates with development teams to identify and resolve defects. Expectations: Complete all testing activities within the designated facility; adhere to company testing standards and timelines; provide clear, actionable defect reports; participate in defect review meetings and post‑implementation reviews. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases for software features and enhancements. - Perform manual end‑to‑end testing, data validation, and regression testing. - Utilize Postman for API testing and validation of XML/JSON payloads. - Inspect and validate XML documents using XSL, XSD, and DTD specifications. - Work with Java-based applications, executing functional and integration tests. - Query and analyze data using SQL against various database systems. - Manage version control using Git, including branching, merging, and reviewing code changes. - Log defects in the defect tracking system, document severity and impact, and facilitate defect resolution. - Collaborate cross‑functionally with developers, product owners, and operations to clarify requirements and test scenarios. - Maintain testing documentation and update test artifacts as the product evolves.
