**Job Title:** Senior Storage/Backup Architect (IT Storage/Backup Administrator)
**Role Summary:**
Design, evolve, and manage data protection architectures for enterprise clients. Collaborate with operations, security, and development teams to deliver high‑performance backup, restore, and data lifecycle services across on‑premise and cloud environments. Support pre‑sales activities, guide solution design, and ensure continuous improvement of the data protection portfolio.
**Expectations:**
- Minimum 10 + years of experience in enterprise backup/storage architecture.
- Ability to lead technical design, migration, and operational procedures.
- Strong client‑facing skills for pre‑sales, consulting, and stakeholder communication.
- Fluent French (bilingual preferred) with good English comprehension.
- Proven track record of delivering vendor‑agnostic, cloud‑compatible solutions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Define and evolve backup and data protection architectures in partnership with operations teams.
- Participate in technical design reviews with security, development, and infrastructure groups.
- Lead pre‑sales activities: respond to RFPs, present solutions, and defend the data protection portfolio.
- Assess client requirements, evaluate feasibility, and recommend optimal technical solutions.
- Manage operational procedures, data migrations, and development tasks (on‑premise & off‑premise).
- Maintain and enhance the data protection service offering based on market trends.
- Coordinate with third‑party vendors, partners, and key internal stakeholders.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep expertise with backup solutions: IBM Spectrum Protect, Dell PowerProtect Data Manager, Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, etc.
- Strong understanding of cloud backup capabilities and vendor‑neutral designs.
- Proficient in scripting (Python, PowerShell, VBScript) for automation.
- Broad OS knowledge: Windows, Linux (all distributions), AIX.
- Comprehensive IT infrastructure knowledge: networking, storage, virtualization, containers, security, HA/PowerHA, clustering, databases.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes.
- Experience with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes/Red Hat OpenShift) is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication; ability to interact with C‑level executives and technical teams.
- Strong collaborative, creative, and flexible mindset; customer‑oriented.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Spectrum Protect, Veeam Certified Engineer, Dell EMC, ITIL Foundation) are advantageous but not mandatory.
