Job Description
**Job Title:** Engineer Internship **Role Summary:** Support multidisciplinary structural engineering projects focused on foundation design for electrical transmission and distribution. Assist in design calculations, preliminary foundation drawings, and project bidding preparations while learning professional engineering practices. **Expectations:** - Complete engineering tasks under supervision, applying standard techniques and design criteria. - Develop judgment in selecting and adapting engineering alternatives. - Learn and practice professional and ethical responsibilities of engineering. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform design calculations and analysis for foundation types (helical piles, drilled shafts, micropiles, rock/soil anchors, driven piles, etc.). - Prepare preliminary foundation designs for bidding. - Create and update engineering drawings and documentation. - Collaborate with civil, structural, geotechnical, and construction management team members. - Maintain organized records and project deliverables. **Required Skills:** - Current bachelor’s degree program in Civil Engineering. - EIT eligibility preferred. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). - Strong written and verbal communication. - Highly organized and able to work effectively in a team. - Preferred: Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, LPILE, GROUP, SAP2000, RISA 3D, Enercalc, MathCAD. - Knowledge of standards: ASCE, IBC, ACI, AISC, FHWA, AASHTO, NESC, ASTM. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Enrolled in an accredited civil engineering bachelor’s program. - EIT certification desired but not mandatory.
