Job Description
**Job Title:** Structural Bridge Internship **Role Summary** A 90‑day, 40 hrs/wk summer internship where a structural engineering student assists in design, calculations, detailing, documentation, and site visits for bridge and transportation infrastructure projects. **Expectations** - Work full‑time in Seattle Office for up to 90 days. - Attend project meetings, visit job sites, and support multiple projects simultaneously. - Maintain safety compliance on‑site. **Key Responsibilities** - Perform structural calculations (member sizing, moment/shear diagrams, load paths). - Prepare design details, drawings, and documentation for reviews. - Assist in cost estimating and cost‑tracking. - Conduct field inspections, site observations, and information gathering. - Support interdisciplinary projects (port, marina, rail, stormwater). **Required Skills** - Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Civil/Structural Engineering. - Solid knowledge of structural analysis, materials (concrete, steel, timber). - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Strong written/ verbal communication and teamwork. - Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and eager to learn. **Required Education & Certifications** - Current enrollment in a civil or structural engineering undergraduate or graduate program. - Coursework: Structural analysis, mechanics of materials, and at least one of: concrete, steel, foundation, or timber engineering. ---
