**Job title:** Data Scientist, Marketing
**Role summary:**
Leverage data science to drive growth and revenue for a SaaS platform by transforming user behavior analytics into actionable marketing insights, optimizing campaigns, and improving conversion funnels across self‑serve and enterprise segments.
**Expectations:**
- Minimum 2–4 years of data science or analytics experience focused on marketing or growth.
- Strong analytical foundation in statistics, machine learning, and causal inference.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern data stack tools.
- Ability to communicate complex findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
**Key responsibilities:**
- Design and analyze A/B tests and experiments for email, paid ads, social, and content marketing.
- Build multi‑touch attribution models and conversion funnels to trace the customer journey.
- Develop predictive models for lead scoring, prospect prioritization, and churn reduction.
- Create self‑service dashboards and automated reports (CAC, LTV, ROAS, conversion rates).
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines linking marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta, Iterable, Segment, etc.) to product analytics.
- Develop real‑time alerting systems for campaign performance anomalies and bidding automation.
- Partner with growth, revenue, and product teams to translate business questions into rigorous analysis and recommendations.
**Required skills:**
- SQL (advanced queries, large event‑level datasets, ETL design with dbt).
- Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, statsmodels, etc.).
- Experiment design & analysis (sample sizing, significance testing, causal inference).
- Dashboarding & visualization (Looker, Tableau, Mode, or similar).
- Knowledge of marketing tech ecosystem (Google Analytics, Segment, Iterable, Marketo, HubSpot).
- Experience with data pipelines, BigQuery/Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, or equivalent.
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
**Required education & certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field; or equivalent professional experience in data roles.
