Job title: Head of Operations
Role Summary: Lead and scale North American operations for a fast‑growing micromobility company, driving strategy, team building, and cross‑functional coordination to achieve profitability and high performance across B2C and B2B segments.
Expactations: Deliver a scalable operational framework, expand presence to new cities (NYC, Toronto, and beyond), set and monitor global KPIs, lead safety initiatives, cultivate a high‑performance culture, and collaborate with global central teams to align standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement operational strategies for North American B2C/B2B growth and profitability.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and manage frontline and managerial staff to build a high‑performing team.
• Develop and execute expansion plans for new cities, ensuring readiness of fleet, support, and compliance.
• Establish and maintain global operational metrics (fleet availability, cost optimisation, customer/employee satisfaction).
• Lead safety programs for riders and employees, ensuring adherence to industry standards and continuous improvement.
• Foster a culture of performance, clear goal setting, and employer‑of‑choice branding.
• Coordinate processes and strategies with global operations, finance, product and engineering.
• Drive continuous learning and rapid problem‑solving through data‑driven decision making.
Required Skills:
• 5+ years of operations & team management in a fast‑growth environment (B2C/B2B preferred).
• Proven track record of operational excellence and scaling multi‑city operations.
• Strong leadership, hiring, and team development capabilities.
• Strategic thinking, analytical mindset, and a bias for action.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management.
• Adaptability to fast‑paced, high‑volume scaling; comfort on any level of the organization.
• Curiosity, quick learning, and a competitive drive for goal achievement.
• Knowledge of safety compliance and micromobility industry dynamics (bonus).
Required Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, Operations Management or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive operations experience; certifications in Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or equivalent are advantageous but not mandatory.
