Job Description
**Job Title:** Back End Developer (Java) **Role Summary:** Experienced Java backend engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, secure, and scalable services that power a digital financial platform for asset managers, insurers, and distribution networks. Works closely with frontend, validation, and product teams in an agile environment to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality Java code following best practices and coding standards. - Contribute to technical design decisions and propose efficient, maintainable solutions. - Participate actively in code reviews, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Communicate technical concepts clearly across multidisciplinary teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and maintain backend features using Java and Spring Boot. - Build and expose RESTful APIs within a SOA architecture. - Ensure application security, performance, and scalability. - Write and update technical documentation; support corrective and evolutionary maintenance. - Integrate with CI/CD pipelines and manage deployments. - Collaborate with frontend, validation, and product owners for end‑to‑end delivery. **Required Skills:** - 5–10 years of professional Java backend development. - Deep expertise in Spring Boot and related ecosystem (Spring Data, Spring Security, etc.). - Strong understanding of SOA, RESTful API design, and micro‑services patterns. - Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL stores (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra). - Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and version control (Git). - Knowledge of application security principles and common vulnerabilities. - Ability to produce clean, testable code and perform unit/integration testing. - Excellent technical communication and teamwork skills; autonomous and organized. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Preferred: Java SE/EE certification or Spring Professional certification.
