Job Description
Job Title: Director of Information Technology Role Summary: Senior leader responsible for defining, implementing, and governing the company’s IT strategy, driving digital transformation, and ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant technology infrastructure that supports business objectives. Expectations: • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership, with proven ability to translate strategy into operational excellence. • Experience managing complex projects, budgets, and vendors in dynamic, growth‑oriented environments. • Strong strategic vision coupled with a hands‑on execution style; able to advise executive leadership on technology risks and opportunities. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with business goals. • Lead digital transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, innovation, and customer experience. • Oversee core IT functions: infrastructure, software development, cloud services, cybersecurity, and data management. • Manage IT budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships. • Ensure compliance with data privacy, regulatory, and cybersecurity standards. • Build, mentor, and lead high‑performing IT teams. • Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team on technology trends, risks, and opportunities. • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that deliver business value. • Develop IT policies, governance frameworks, and disaster recovery/business continuity plans. • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation within the IT organization. Required Skills: • Executive leadership and stakeholder management. • IT strategy formulation, enterprise architecture, and digital transformation. • Cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), cybersecurity, data analytics, and IT governance. • Budgeting, vendor management, and procurement. • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and change‑management skills. • Ability to drive innovation and manage large‑scale transformational projects. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). • Preferred: Master’s degree in Business Administration, IT Management, or related field. • Certifications: CISSP, CISM, PMP, CCSP, or similar; cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect); ITIL Foundation or higher.
