**Job Title**
Head of Developer Relations
**Role Summary**
Lead developer advocacy, evangelism, and community building to ensure developers understand, adopt, and champion the company's product suite. Act as the primary technical voice, creating content, driving community engagement, and improving developer experience across documentation, onboarding, and support.
**Expectations**
- Demonstrate at least 7 years of proven experience in developer relations, education, or technical writing.
- Exhibit strong technical acumen with hands‑on knowledge of SDKs, APIs, backend/frontend languages, and developer tooling.
- Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills; simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Proactively partner with engineering, product, design, and marketing to align content and community initiatives with product roadmaps.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Serve as public advocate across forums, social platforms, and events (webinars, conferences, meetups).
- Create original technical content: blogs, demos, tutorials, videos, and thought leadership pieces.
- Launch, grow, and manage a vibrant developer community (Slack/Discord/Reddit/GitHub, etc.), including user groups, office hours, workshops, and ambassador programs.
- Monitor community health metrics; use feedback to inform product, documentation, and onboarding improvements.
- Develop and execute high‑quality developer documentation strategy: guides, SDK references, tutorials, and API documentation.
- Conduct user testing and iterate on documentation clarity, usability, and depth.
- Represent the brand at public speaking engagements and partner with influencers, integration partners, and industry leaders.
**Required Skills**
- Proven community‑building and developer advocacy experience.
- Deep understanding of modern web/dev ecosystems (REST/GraphQL, SDKs, CI/CD, etc.).
- Strong technical writing and content creation abilities.
- Experience with community platforms: Slack, Discord, Reddit, GitHub, Stack Overflow.
- Public speaking and event hosting proficiency.
- Cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, product, design, and marketing.
- Empathy for developer workflows and user‑centric mindset.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer Associate) preferred but not mandatory.
