Job Description
Job title: Evening Pharmacy Dispenser Dispensing Assistant Role Summary: Deliver accurate medication dispensing and patient support during evening shifts (12:30 – 22:00) in a UK pharmacy setting. Operate dispensing equipment, maintain records, and collaborate with pharmacists and support staff to ensure compliance with UK pharmacy regulations and internal SOPs. Expectations: * Working full‑time (42.5 hrs/week) Monday–Friday, no weekends. * Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety, accuracy, and high service standards. * Thrive in a fast‑paced environment with clear communication. Key Responsibilities: - Dispense prescriptions accurately per UK regulations and pharmacy SOPs. - Provide patient and prescriber support, responding to queries within scope of practice. - Maintain precise records and assist with stock control (ordering, replenishment, expiry checks). - Operate dispensing robot and other tech‑enabled workflow tools. - Identify and report medication safety discrepancies; support quality assurance initiatives. - Collaborate with team members to streamline workflow and drive continuous improvement. Required Skills: - NVQ Level 2 Dispensing qualification or equivalent recognized by GPhC. - Demonstrated focus on accuracy, safety, and record‑keeping. - Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. - Proven teamwork, reliability, and adaptability in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment. - Commitment to patient safety and service excellence. Required Education & Certifications: - NVQ Level 2 Dispensing Qualification (or GPhC‑equivalent). - Eligibility to work in the UK (right to work); no visa sponsorship.
