Job Description

Job title: Data Scientist Role Summary: Provide data science expertise to support a U.S. Government contract, developing analytical models, dashboards, and insights to sustain mission‑critical software and systems in a cleared environment. Expectations: - Maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. - Execute data‑driven projects with rigor and security compliance. - Articulate technical findings and challenges to stakeholders. - Work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and analytic workflows. - Build and publish Power BI dashboards and other visualizations for operational decision‑making. - Perform exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine‑learning experiments. - Translate business requirements into technical solutions, addressing end‑user experience needs. - Prepare briefings, reports, and presentations for technical and non‑technical audiences. - Ensure compliance with agency data handling, privacy, and cybersecurity standards. Required Skills: - TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (mandatory). - Minimum 3 years of experience in data science or analytics, plus software development skills (Python, R, SQL, etc.). - Strong Power BI proficiency and dashboard creation experience. - Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and communication abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts clearly. - Proven independent work ethic and ability to collaborate in team settings. - Knowledge of end‑user experience definition or AOR/target language a plus. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). - TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph (mandatory). - Optional: data‑science related certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer).
