**Job Title**
Director – Strategic Transformation & Business Development
**Role Summary**
Lead Alliance2015’s strategic transformation and business development. Act as the chief opportunity architect, forging new funding ecosystems, partnerships, and policy influence while steering the Brussels office and internal alliance strategy.

**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Strategic Business Development**
- Identify and profile emerging donors (climate funds, impact investors, sovereign wealth funds, innovative finance).
- Design and present compelling funding bids, blending EU and non‑EU sources.
2. **Partnership & Ecosystem Building**
- Secure alliances with tech firms, academia, think tanks, and non‑traditional actors to expand influence and reach.
- Develop relationships with EU leadership, emerging economies, and multilateral institutions.
3. **Policy & Thought Leadership**
- Represent Alliance2015 at high‑level forums, conferences, and policy dialogues.
- Shape policy on climate‑food systems, digital governance, and humanitarian‑development integration.
- Build media presence through strategic communications, thought pieces, and journalist engagement.
4. **EU Institutional Relations**
- Navigate evolving EU architecture (Green Deal, Digital Decade, Global Gateway).
- Position Alliance2015 as a partner in developing new EU approaches to global challenges.
5. **Internal Alliance Management**
- Lead strategic visioning, planning, and collective action initiatives.
- Foster an internal culture of innovation and entrepreneurial thinking.
- Develop models for member engagement and resource sharing to enhance resilience.
6. **Office & Staff Oversight**
- Manage day‑to‑day operations of the Brussels office and ensure compliance.
- Supervise 3 direct reports and liaison with 4 hosted/seconded staff; conduct annual appraisals and staff development.
- Prepare budgets, ensure financial reporting, and provide secretariat support to the Executive Board & President.
**Required Skills**
- Strategic leadership in international development, humanitarian aid, or social enterprise.
- Proven track record in multi‑source fundraising, grant writing, and bid development.
- Strong partnership development and stakeholder engagement, including EU institutions, multilateral bodies, private sector, and foundations.
- Policy analysis, advocacy, and high‑level representation skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking abilities.
- Team leadership, people management, and organizational development.
- Data‑driven decision making and financial stewardship.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Public Policy, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) or equivalent are advantageous.
