Job Description
Job title: Applied Mathematician / Data Analyst Role Summary: Deliver technical planning, system integration, verification/validation, cost & risk analysis, and performance optimization for large, complex systems across all product life‑cycle stages using advanced simulation and modeling techniques. Expectations: * Obtain and maintain TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. * Rapidly master complex analytical tools and programming environments. * Communicate complex findings clearly to technical stakeholders. * Work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities: - Perform functional, timeline, trade‑off, requirement allocation, and interface studies to translate customer or product requirements into hardware and software specifications. - Create, modify, and run simulation models (Matlab, Python, Perl, Java, C++, R, etc.) to evaluate system performance specifications. - Analyze simulation data, interpret results, and present technical recommendations to customers and stakeholders. - Conduct verification and validation, cost and risk assessments, and effectiveness analyses for total system solutions. - Ensure logical, systematic conversion of requirements into integrated system solutions within technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Required Skills: - Bachelor’s degree in engineering (aerospace, mechanical, electrical), physics, mathematics, computer science, data science, image science, or a related technical discipline. - 0–2 years of experience in technical analysis, simulation, or data science. - Proficiency in at least one of the following: Matlab, Python, Perl, Java, C++, R. - Strong analytical abilities with capacity to identify and articulate system issues. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reports and briefings. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree as noted above. - Eligibility for and possession of a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
