Job Description
**Job title** Event Engineer **Role Summary** Execute, monitor, and support live broadcast events, ensuring reliable transmission of video, audio, and data services across fiber and IP networks. Operate on‑site at global events, collaborate with customers, and contribute to pre‑event testing and system configuration. **Expactations** - Deliver high‑quality live signal uptime for premium broadcast clients. - Work flexible hours and travel worldwide to support events. - Maintain detailed event logs and produce end‑of‑day reports. - Resolve technical issues in real time while preserving production schedules. **Key Responsibilities** - Pre‑stage, test, and configure equipment according to customer schematics. - Interpret schematic and topology drawings for event setups. - Conduct on‑site setup, system checks, and pre‑broadcast rehearsals. - Monitor live equipment, video/audio/data streams during events. - Provide on‑site technical support to clients and coordinate with suppliers. - Log daily events, troubleshoot signal/path problems, and generate reports. **Required Skills** - Live broadcast engineering under pressure; long‑duration event support. - Cable installation: coaxial, RJ45, and fiber splicing. - Knowledge of SD‑SDI, HD‑SDI, UHD‑SDI, audio, video routers, multiviewers. - Troubleshoot baseband video, audio, MPEG/HEVC, JPEG2000. - Basic network configuration and data/telemetry troubleshooting. - Familiarity with Net Insight products (Nimbra MSR, VA/N414) is a plus. - Strong problem‑solving, teamwork, and communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Broadcast Engineering, or related field. - Professional certifications such as ATHEA, SCTE, or equivalent broadcast‑engineering credentials preferred. ---
