**Job Title:** Machine Learning Intern – Protein Group **Role Summary:** Assist the Protein R&D team by designing and executing machine learning–driven experiments for protein product development, troubleshooting, and protocol optimization. Analyze data, recommend next steps, and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to advance research projects. **Expectations:** - Conduct rigorous scientific experiments in protein research. - Apply state‑of‑the‑art ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit‑learn) to model protein structures and designs. - Translate literature findings into actionable research improvements. - Present project updates to management, technical reviews, and commercial teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and implement ML models for protein structure prediction and design. - Analyze experimental and simulation data to derive insights and optimize protocols. - Debug, troubleshoot, and refine code and workflows. - Collaborate with R&D peers, product managers, and manufacturing experts. - Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership and cross‑functional groups. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in Python and experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit‑learn. - Knowledge of deep learning and generative AI techniques, especially protein language models. - Strong data analysis, debugging, and problem‑solving skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication. - Detail‑oriented and capable of working independently. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Current enrollment or recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field. - No specific certifications required, but familiarity with protein developability assessment tools is a plus.
