**Job Title** Senior Engineer **Role Summary** Lead and manage complex civil engineering projects from concept through completion. Oversee a team of construction inspectors, ensure compliance with technical standards, and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver infrastructure solutions meeting regulatory and community requirements. **Expectations** - Provide strategic guidance on project planning, design, and execution. - Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to deliver on time and within scope. - Maintain professional engineering licensure and uphold ethical standards in all technical work. - Foster a collaborative environment that encourages continuous improvement and team development. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Direct the design, analysis, and documentation of civil engineering projects (roads, bridges, utilities, etc.). 2. Oversee construction monitoring, inspections, and quality control activities. 3. Evaluate and mitigate technical risks; resolve engineering conflicts and field issues. 4. Prepare and review technical reports, cost estimates, and procurement documents. 5. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and building codes. 6. Mentor junior engineers and inspectors; conduct performance reviews. 7. Liaise with project stakeholders, including city officials, contractors, and community representatives. **Required Skills** - Proficient in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit). - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management capabilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to produce clear technical documentation. - Leadership and team‑management experience. - Familiarity with federal, state, and local permitting and coding requirements. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline from an accredited program. - Minimum of 4 years of progressive professional civil engineering experience, including 1 year in a lead or supervisory capacity. - Valid California Professional Engineer (PE) license in civil engineering (or NCEES PE exam pass with subsequent licensure). - Valid California driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
