**Job Title**
System Performance Engineer – South Florida
**Role Summary**
Field‑based engineer responsible for the commissioning, performance verification, and troubleshooting of In‑Building DAS and small‑cell systems. Works on-site across South Florida, collaborating with ops teams, customers, and mobile operators to ensure network installations meet design specifications and SLA commitments.
**Expectations**
- Operate independently with strong time‑management to handle multiple concurrent projects.
- Remain composed under pressure, delivering solutions promptly while maintaining professional communication.
- Travel within the South Florida region as required; valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle essential.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Install and commission distributed antenna systems (DAS) for OEMs such as CommScope, Corning, JMA, ADRF.
- Conduct RF benchmarking (pre‑ and post‑install), CW testing, spectrum sweeps, segment/system sweeps, PIM/OTDR, and link‑balancing.
- Analyze RF data, generate performance reports, and prepare maintenance and close‑out documentation.
- Troubleshoot fault conditions, interference, and performance degradation; coordinate with CTS NOC and mobile operators during maintenance windows.
- Facilitate AHJ inspections, third‑party testing, and ensure adherence to all contractual quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance to project and construction teams, flag potential impacts on project scope or budget.
- Maintain comprehensive project files in the company’s cloud‑based system.
**Required Skills**
- 3–5 years RF engineering experience in DAS, RAN, or small‑cell environments.
- Proficiency with RF test equipment: spectrum analyzer, demodulator, cable analyzer, power meter, scanners, UE devices.
- RF link budget, power sharing, and noise figure calculation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, iBwave design files, and 3‑D modeling outputs.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Visio, MS Project, Bluebeam; strong computer literacy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; able to produce clear technical documentation.
- Self‑motivated, team‑player, adaptable to fast‑paced and changing environments.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- RF engineering certifications (e.g., Certified RF Engineer – CERE‑RF) preferred; otherwise, demonstrated competency through experience.
