**Job title:**
IT Cloud and Security Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient hybrid cloud infrastructure across public, private, and on‑prem environments. Lead architecture decisions, enforce compliance frameworks (e.g., CMMC, FedRAMP), and implement advanced security controls and zero‑trust principles to protect enterprise systems.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver secure, high‑availability cloud solutions that meet business objectives.
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of hybrid cloud best practices and compliance.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders and produce detailed documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive data and intellectual property.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Architect and deploy secure cloud network topologies (VM, Kubernetes, containers).
2. Implement firewall, network security groups, RBAC, and micro‑segmentation to enforce zero‑trust architecture.
3. Deploy and manage security controls (IDS/IPS, WAF, DLP, SIEM).
4. Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
5. Evaluate and remediate gaps in current application, data, and infrastructure environments.
6. Design and implement disaster recovery, backup, and continuity plans.
7. Lead incident response planning, tabletop exercises, and post‑incident analysis.
8. Prepare technical reports and presentations for leadership.
9. Stay current with industry standards, security threats, and regulatory changes.
10. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, operations, compliance) to integrate security into agile development lifecycles.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Expertise in networking, firewall, IDS/IPS, WAF, DLP, SIEM, and IAM.
- Proficiency in IaC with Terraform or equivalent.
- Understanding of zero‑trust, micro‑segmentation, and secure design principles.
- Experience with Azure security services (Advanced Threat Protection, Defender).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in cloud architecture and security.
- Certifications: Azure Security Engineer – AZ‑104, AZ‑305, AZ‑505 (preferred).
- Knowledge of FedRAMP, CMMC, and CCP certifications is an asset.
