Job Description: **Job Title:** Software Development Engineer – Industrial Automation **Role Summary** Design, develop, test, and maintain control and operator interface (HMI) software for industrial machinery. Build tools and systems that improve software production efficiency, implement industrial communication protocols, and support ongoing product improvement. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality, maintainable code meeting safety and reliability standards. - Collaborate cross‑functionally to translate product requirements into technical specifications. - Independently diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues. - Communicate findings and solutions clearly in both verbal and written form. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Design and implement control and operator interface software (C#, .NET). 2. Create tools and systems that streamline software production in a dynamic environment. 3. Develop industrial communication modules (TCP/IP, OPC UA, ModBus, CAN‑Bus, IoT). 4. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems. 5. Contribute to continuous improvement and next‑generation software design. 6. Explain complex technical material to non‑technical stakeholders. **Required Skills** - 5+ years software engineering experience, 3–5 years with Microsoft stack (Visual Studio, C#, .NET). - Proficiency in C/C++ (preferred). - Experience with asynchronous programming, multithreading, multitasking, real‑time systems. - Understanding of UX principles and HMI design. - Familiarity with industrial control platforms (PLC programming IEC 61131, TwinCAT, Siemens, Allen Bradley). - Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (TCP/IP, OPC UA, ModBus, CAN‑Bus, IoT). - SQL Server experience; basic web technologies (backend/frontend). - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) or Computer Science from an accredited institution. ---
