Job Description

**Job Title** Quality Intern (Industrial Engineer – Summer 2026) **Role Summary** Support the Quality Assurance team by conducting inspections, maintaining measurement equipment, documenting data for PPAP compliance, performing root‑cause analysis of non‑conforming products, and assisting with process improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment. **Expectations** - Current student pursuing a 4‑year Industrial Engineering degree. - Self‑directed, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team. - Strong problem‑solving skills to investigate and countermeasure manufacturing or supplier‑related issues. - Collaborative with suppliers, plant manufacturing, and purchasing to meet deliverables. - U.S. work authorization. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Conduct visual and equipment‑based inspections of finished products and incoming materials. 2. Record and interpret inspection data, ensuring accurate documentation. 3. Maintain and calibrate gages; update controlled documents for all processes. 4. Collect measurement data for machine capability studies. 5. Assist with root‑cause analysis of non‑conforming items and customer returns; recommend improvement actions. 6. Support PPAP documentation and compliance efforts. 7. Communicate findings and progress to Quality Manager and stakeholders. 8. Perform additional duties as assigned. **Required Skills** - Proficiency with inspection equipment and measurement tools. - Ability to analyze data and conduct root‑cause analyses. - Knowledge of manufacturing processes and automotive component functional requirements. - Strong written and verbal communication. - Team player with the ability to coordinate across departments and suppliers. **Required Education & Certifications** - Enrolled in a 4‑year Industrial Engineering program. - No specific certifications required. - Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
