**Job Title**
Solution Architect – Azure, Investment Platforms, Finance
**Role Summary**
Design and deliver Azure‑based solutions for investment technology, ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant architectures that align with enterprise reference models and business requirements across front, middle, and back‑office functions.
**Expectations**
- Deep expertise in Azure PaaS and data platforms.
- Proven track record in financial services/wealth‑management solution architecture.
- Ability to translate investment business processes into technical designs.
- Strong governance, risk, and regulatory awareness.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop high‑level solution architectures and detailed design documents for investment technology on Azure (PaaS, SQL, Data Factory, Synapse, Power Platform).
- Define RESTful API and gateway architectures, ensuring secure and efficient inter‑system communication.
- Collaborate with investment, operations, and governance stakeholders to align solutions with business needs and enterprise roadmaps.
- Present architecture proposals to governance forums and influence technology decisions.
- Ensure adherence to risk controls, policies, and compliance frameworks.
- Implement DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code) utilizing Azure DevOps and relevant tooling.
- Author technical documentation using Atlassian (Jira, Confluence).
- Mentor engineering teams and drive architectural best practices across geography.
**Required Skills**
- Azure PaaS (App Service, Functions, Kubernetes, Cosmos DB), Azure Data Platform (Data Factory, Synapse, SQL DW).
- SQL Server, REST APIs, API Gateway, Power Platform, Python, Docker/containerization.
- DevOps (CI/CD, IaC, Azure DevOps, Git).
- Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).
- Financial services domain: front/middle/back‑office processes, portfolio management (Aladdin, iLevel, Calypso), execution platforms (Bloomberg EMS, FXAll, TradeWeb), data platforms (Finbourne, GoldenSource, Eagle).
- Modern data warehousing concepts and cloud data strategy.
- Governance, risk, and regulatory compliance experience.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (mandatory).
- Optional: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, or relevant data/security certifications.
